First, we're not a puppy mill.
We've loved the Bichon Frise breed for many years. Our "house" Bichon's, Anthony (Tony) and Cleopatra (Cleo) are two bundles of joy that live in our home with us... as do their puppies. Their pups are born in our kitchen, in a special incubator we call the "puppy palace" where they stay until they can regulate their body temperatures (about two weeks).
The puppies live in our farmhouse kitchen where they become accustomed to normal household sounds, sights, and scents. Here they learn to get along with other critters, like our house cat Yoder and visitors. Every evening they get one-on-one human attention time with us as we read, listen to music, or watch videos in our living room. They learn that 8:30PM is their bedtime and they go to their crates until morning. In the morning they have a morning routine like their parents. They learn the basics of puppy manners and their place in the pack (family).
As soon as they are physically capable of eating solid foods they also share our meals. Very early on we start them with warm scrambled eggs and cottage cheese. Later they joint their parents at dinner time for a few table scraps. The faster we get a puppies on solid food the faster they mature, the more energy they have, and the more they learn to share with their "people".
Our pup's get their "shots" at seven weeks of age right here on the farm. They learn to enjoy visitors and that their "job" is to learn things, so we start teaching them basics like sit, come, stand up, quiet and no.
Please note that we do not ship puppies, it's our opinion that this is too hard on the pup and certainly not in his/her best interest. Also, because of the amount of "puppy and check fraud" that is, unfortunately, out there we do not accept checks of any kind nor will we allow a third party to pick up a puppy for the buyer.
While our puppies are pure bred Bichon Frise, we do not register the litters. We sell, and price, our puppies as pets, not show dogs or registered breeding dogs. Unless you are going to either show or breed a puppy you get from us then registration would only add several hundred dollars to the price of the puppy with no real benefit.
Please, use the links below to view the latest pictures of the pups, to arrange an appointment to visit them, or to schedule the appointment where you come pick up the new member of your family. If you want to reserve a puppy, please visit the "View Available Puppies" page.
